How can a foreigner get Indian citizenship after marriage?
I am an Indian citizen living in India and my GF is a Polish Citizen. She wants to come to India to marry me and reside here. Is there any way that she can obtain Indian Visa which will not require her to leave India after continuous stay of 90 days?
The marriage has to be solemnized under Special Marriage Act 1954 with the notice of intended marriage by residing in India for atleast 30 days. After submitting the notice, objections are to be allowed for 30 days. The marriage has to take place in front of witnesses. The necessary document has to be provided such as address proof, passport size photos, and valid passports. She can apply for spouse visa based on marriage certificate. After two years of marriage, OCI can be issued by FRRO to your wife under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955.
