Will a petty case have any impact on passport renewal and visa?

Hi, there is an FIR on my name for flying drone inside university. The registrar filed the FIR, I talked to Police Station, they said it's just petty case, going to put some fine at Lok Adalat at court.. But I think that will make me guilty, I want to apply to US for masters, will this affect my Visa Application? Police has put following acts: 447 188 IPC 11(A) w.r. 5(A) of Aircraft Act Would really appreciate if you can help me with this, I'm very stressed.

US authorities while applying for Visa can ask for the disclosure of any criminal records that is petty or big. The impact of this will be there, unless you provide the valid reasons. Since this case is sent for Lok Adalat, it can lead to fine or agreement without conviction. This can avoid criminal record in your name. This would not have impact on your application of Visa.
