Can I get an injunction against highway officials for demolishing my building?

A flyover is in progress at another location. All vehicles passing through it are diverted through the road in our area. Already our road is 30 feet wide. However, the highway officials are threatening to demolish our houses within 3 days to widen the road. I have been in this place for more than 30 years. My place is 470 square feet and the whole building is there. It has 300 square feet area. The remaining 170 square feet is accounted for by village Nandam. Is it possible to get an injunction through the court against the highway department without demolishing the building?

Sir, it is possible to get an injunction through the court to prevent the demolition of your building if you can prove that the demolition would cause you irreparable harm and that there is a valid legal ground for challenging the demolition. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you in filing an injunction petition in court of law.  For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
