How can I prevent myself from any false case by my girlfriend's family?

Sir I am from Maharashtra and my cast is BARI and she belongs to PATIL cast we decide to marriage but first we want to inform our parents that we love each other or we are in Relationship. My question is that is there any law that protect my family and me because you know when her parents realize about me then they do anything they can toucher my family members not only these they can make fake charges on me in police station TO protect these type of situation is there any law that I can use to protect me or my family as well.
