Is GST registration mandatory for visa purpose?

Hey, my father and grandfather is working in their own shop as a goldsmith. Recently they applied for GST and my father put his only name for gst registration. Actually we are living in a rural area so gst is not much acknowledged for shops but now i am applying for my visa so we need a valid proof that business is on going . So now immigration put question like why GST no. Only have name of my father not grandfather? Can you please help me to reach a equivalent answer for them as now i can't do any changes in GST registration.

Sir, in this case the Registration of GST is established on PAN details. In your case the establishment is in the name of son (your father), the registration of GST should be in his name only. Though, the father (grandfather) can also take registration in his name, if he can provide his PAN details and once the name is added you can present it to immigration authorities.
