What can I do after being scammed on social media platform?

I am ashamed to admit this, but I was scammed by individuals on Twitter. They have a Twitter handle where they post adult content, and I approached them and paid for their content. However, they didn't provide the content and also didn't return my money. They have blocked me from everyone. I gave them 2500 rupees, and the payment was made through the UPI method. Is there any way I can take legal action against them? If there is any way, what procedures I have to follow and can I do this online without attending the police station or the court. I am really angry about what happened, and I don't want it to happen to others. They have already this to many.

You can file a complaint with Twitter. Twitter has a policy against scams and fraud. If you report the scammers to Twitter, they may take action against their account, such as suspending or banning it. Contact us for further enquiry.
