What legal action can be taken against wrongful credit card billing?

I have cleared all my credit card bill and close it. But they are still billing me. I ask them to send me a statement and they still don’t and they send me a legal notice and put an on hold amount in my bank account. What can I do?

If you’ve fully paid off your credit card, closed the account, and are still being billed or facing legal action, gather all relevant documents, like payment receipts, a closure confirmation, and the legal notice. Call customer service, explain that your balance is cleared and the account closed, and ask why they’re billing you. Request a statement detailing any charges they claim. If calls don’t resolve it, send a written dispute with copies of documents (not originals) by certified mail within 60 days. File with a consumer agency if needed, and keep an eye on your credit report. Consult with a lawyer who specializes in consumer rights or credit issues. They can provide guidance on how to proceed and may assist in negotiating with the credit card company or addressing legal actions.

Sir, firstly you should review the payment receipts, statements, and any correspondence with the credit card company and if it is found that the act of company is unethical then you may consider sending a request letter to show outstanding balances, including dates and amounts of payments.
