Sir, the marriage registration can be done even if the parents of the bride are not witnesses as it is not mandatory that parents should be witnesses in a marriage registration. But if you are planning to marry under the Special marriage act, the consent of both the parents are necessary and 30 day notice is published if any objection is to be made by the families.
