Is it possible to Marry under Special marriage act with second cousin?

Can second cousins marry each other under Special marriage Act, bride and groom both are Hindu and same caste as they come under sapinda relationship in Hindu marriage Act, so they want to marry under Special marriage Act as the act prohibit the marriage between first cousin but the marriage between second cousin is not mentioned in Special marriage Act so can they marry each other under special marriage act?

No, second cousins can not marry each other Hindu Marriage Act (HMA) does prohibit marriage between first cousins, and this prohibition extends to second cousins who are considered "sapinda" relatives. For further enquiry Contact us on helpline number.
