What is the procedure of marriage under SMA?

I am planning to get married via Special Marriage Act. Me and my prospective partner are Hindus , but the reason we are going for the Special marriage route is because there are some challenges around rituals. Can you please advise whether there will be any issue going with this as we are not going with conventional Hindu Marriage Act. My Partner will be applying for visa for Germany so wanted to be rest assured that we are following the right procedure.”
