What is the process and procedure for registration of court marriage?

Hello, My boyfriend and I are planning to register our marriage in court in the month of December 2023. I am currently in Canada and he is in Europe and we want to register our marriage for visa purposes. However, we do not want to perform any wedding ceremonies as of now.
