Can a financed vehicle be transferred to another person?
One of my known person ( First owner of property ) sold out his vehicle to other person on stamp paper but due to heavy loan of vehicle RC did not transfer and vehicle papers still have the name of first owner. Due to some GST issue vehicle got confiscated by police and they named First Owner as accused in that case although he did not aware anything because he sold out vehicle to second person. He visited police station and showed all documents that 4-5 months before he sold out vehicle but police deliberately put his name in case. What is the solution on this ? How to remove his name from case ?
First owner should file a complaint with the police station where they were named as an accused and Additionally, you can file a complaint with RTO seeking clarification on why the vehicle's ownership hasn't been transferred despite the sale. Contact us on helpline number and talk to a lawyer.
