Can a mother transfer her property to her daughter?

We lost our father suddenly. There was no will. So we daughters sign a release deed of our ancestor house and land so the same can me transfer in our mother's name as suggested by our uncle. Now that all property is transferred on my mother's name can she nominate us daughters as her heir for the property in her will?
