Does a married daughter have any rights on her father's property?

My father-in-law (HUF) died intestate after some time of our marriage without making any will. Now in family there are e members my Mother-in-law, my brother-in-law (married) and daughter (my wife). My brother-in-law and his wife do not take care of my mother-in-law though they resides in same house (still in the name of my father-in-law), taking consideration of conditions my wife wants the custody of my mother-in-law to take care and look after but at the same time she does not want to leave her share in property. 1. How can my wife claim her share in property and how long does this complete process will take time to finish ? 2. What documents/papers we would require to arrange or prepare from our side to make claim as we do not reside there ? 3. Can my wife claim share in movable property/assets as well or not, if yes then how ? 4. Can we donate the share of my wife to central or state govt., if yes what is the process to donate property.
