How to divide property as per Islamic law?

I am a Muslim. My father has divorced my mother and married another lady. She had a son from her previous marriage. My father died few years back and most of the property was taken away by the second wife and her son, We are two sisters. I am unmarried and my sister is married. I would like to know how is the share distribution done and can we claim any compensation for any injustice done. We were given very nominal share and majority is taken by her. My father was a rich businessman and every movable immovable properties he had put on her name when he was alive. Is there any chance we can get out correct share amount.

Under Islamic inheritance law, the deceased's property is divided among their heirs according to a fixed formula. The exact shares of each heir depend on their relationship to the deceased and whether they are male or female. To know more Contact us on helpline number to talk to a lawyer.
