How to handle a tenant who refuses to vacate my property?
Details of Property- Location - Ghaziabad, UP Type - Commercial Year rented out - Somewhere between 1980 and 1985 Current Rent - 1375 (1st property), <2k (2nd property), 5-6k (3rd and 4th) Rent Agreement - Not created for any property mentioned above Rent Receipts - Being given out since the beginning Problem- The tenants are not vacating the property and are demanding money for eviction. The current rent of the area is ~12k. One of the lawyers we talked to said it is very difficult. Does "The Uttar Pradesh Regulation of Urban Premises Tenancy Act, 2021" help us anyhow? What are our options?
If you have a valid ground for eviction, you can file an application with the Rent Authority under the UP Rent Act. The Rent Authority will then issue a notice to the tenant to vacate the premises. If the tenant fails to vacate the premises within the time period specified in the notice, the Rent Authority can issue an eviction order. Contact us for further enquiry.
