I want to ownership of my chawl room.

Dear sir, I want to know that can i make ownership of my chawl room so that i can directly pay my room property tax to bmc. And for doing so is there is any benefit for me in future or when the chawl goes in building development. I have transferred this room under my name i have rent bill,light bill, aadhar card and ration card of this room under my name. Landlord of the chawl is my father. Regards,
