Is an electricity bill proof of ownership in India?
There are two shops in our family, one owned by my father and the other by my grandfather. The house rent receipts (garipatti) are registered under my grandfather's name with our village panchayat. My cousin has initiated legal action against the ownership of my shop. There is no registration and permissions for our shops till now. We have two evidence. 1. In order to establish my ownership and occupation of the shop for the past 20 years, should I considering presenting my current bill slips as potential evidence?. 2.Additionally, my father possesses the original bond document, which specifies the arrangement for the two shops being jointly owned, and this document has been in place for the past 30 years, as confirmed by our village elders (peddamanshulu) my cousin didn't have the original document which is only bond paper. please suggest should I go with the above two evidences....
