Old owner electricity bill pending
Sir I had recently bought a new house, but the when i try to make new connection, they told me that a electricity bill of around 1 lakh is pending of previous owner , which showed to me bill when i discussed with owner at the time of buying, please help me what should I do now please amount of 1 lakh is very much.

The first thing you should do that confirm that the bill which is pending is of the ex owner, and when it is satisfied that the amount whcih is asked b the electrcity department was of old owner,
then send a legal notice to that particular ex owner to pay the bill or else you will take the strict action against that particular person, If he dont pay then also then file complain for cheating and brach of trust as well suit for recovery of amount.
