Transfer of Title of the Property / Gifting
My Brother wants to gift a property registered in his name to me (elder sister). He bought this property on Loan and has been paying the loan since 10 months. He has made the down payment (20%) of the Property value. How should we legally get this property transferred to my name? He does not mind to continue to contribute to home loan even after transferring the Property to my name. Even I am eligible to repay the loan. So either or both of us are ready to contribute towards the loan EMI. What is the process involved in getting the title changed from his name to my name legally?
