What are some possible solutions for when a neighbor keeps damaging your property and refuses to stop?

Hello, there was leak in the house above my flat. Due to which there was a lot of damage caused to my belongings and my property, the plaster of my ceiling fell. The paint is damaged and all my furniture and belongings are damaged due to the moisture. All in all i have incurred a loss of 1 lakh rupees. Upon telling him about the damage and compensation he said that he will only paint the house and nothing else. I informed the society management, they issued a notice stating that he will not be given a share certificate and a NOC to sell the house, post which the society has refused to help. In this case what can I do to get a proper compensation?
