What are the ownership rights of pagdi system tenants?

We have a room under pagdi system (Rent receipt and Electricity bills are there), now the current landlord has sold the land to new landlord. The new landlord is telling us to vacate the place as he wants to develop something of his own. In return he is giving us a room in slum area which we are not liking and not agreeing for. We are requesting him that atleast provide us a house in a SRA construction, to which he is not agreeing. What rights do we have in this case legally to get what we want.
