What is the cost of relinquishment deed in India?
Our father expired few months back without a will. He has 3 flats in Pune. Legally all 3 flats will be transferred to his legal heir that is mom, me and my sister. But we want that all 3 flats in our mothers name only. When asked in area ward office they said make a Hakka sod Patra and get it registered and some other steps. My question is how much cost will be required to register the Hakka sod Patra. Our financial condition isn't so great so we cant afford the stamp duty required (6%) which I read online. Is there a cost efficient way to do register Hakka sod Patra legally?
