The right to private defense of property continues when there is an apprehension or apprehension of danger to the property.

 

The right to private defence of property: 

 

(i) Against theft so long as the offender is in possession of the property, either with the help of public authorities or the recovery of the property

 

(ii) Against robbery unless the offender attempts to kill or cause injury or wrongful restraint to any person or fears immediate death

 

(iii) Against criminal trespass or mischief so long as the offender continues to commit criminal trespass or mischief.

 

(iv) As opposed to breaking the house by night until there is house-trespass
