IPC Section 23 - What Is "Wrongful Gain" Or "Wrongful Loss"

IPC Section 23 states that - the terms " Wrongful Gain", "Wrongful Loss", "Gaining Wrongfully" & "Losing Wrongfully" used in the Indian Penal Code convey some special meaning. 

• The meaning of all those terms has been explained in IPC Section 23.

1. "Wrongful Gain" - When someone ( Who is not the owner of the property ) acquires the property by using illegal or bad techniques, it is said to be a Wrongful Gain.
2. "Wrongful Loss" - When someone (Who is the owner of the property) loses the property wrongfully, it is said to be a Wrongful Loss.
3. "Gaining Wrongfully" - When a person gains property wrongfully ( illegally or deception), it is said to be gaining wrongfully.
4. "Losing Wrongfully" - When a person loses property wrongfully(illegal or deception), it is said to be losing wrongfully.
