IPC Section 5 - Limitation Of Indian Penal Code

IPC Section 5 states that - the provisions & laws in the Indian Penal Code will not be applicable to the officers, soldiers, sailors, or airmen in the service of the Indian Government ( in case of desertion or mutiny ).

The issues which can not be dealt with as per the Indian Penal Code -

•  Mutiny Or Desertion by the Indian Government Servicemen 
• Existing laws ( Special Law or Local Law ) to handle that issues

There are different laws already there that deal with the Mutiny or Desertion by the officers, soldiers, sailors, or airmen in the Indian Government Service. 

• Army Act, 1950 - All the servicemen of the Indian Army
• Navy Act, 1957 - All the servicemen of the Indian Navy
• Air Force Act, 1950  - All the servicemen of the Indian Air Force
