IPC Section 70 - Fine Leviable Within 6 Years

IPC Section 70 states that -  If the fine or any amount of fine is left, the fine can be collected within 6 years after passing the order of sentence from the court.

In case, if the punishment is greater than 6 years, the tax can be collected until the last day of the expiration of the imprisonment period.

If the offender dies during the term of imprisonment, still he will be liable for the payment of the fine otherwise, the offender's property will be seized.
