My husband's pf amount has not been settled by the Reliance company

My husband worked as department manager in reliance retail...he was in notice period....his manager asked him to drop an resignation mail stating that he will pay his 2 months salary and pf settlement in full..now they paid him only a part of his salary and they are telling that they recovered the pf for notice period....how do we recover the amount
